Outstanding drama director Momina Duraid and Shehzad Kashmiri with the help of Hum Network brings another amazing Pakistani movie named ‘Bin Roye’ to big screens on Eid-ul-Fiter.Based on the novel “Bin Roye Ansoo” by Farhat Ishtiaq, movie was all about lost love, and regrets in relationship.
Movie featured some big names of Pakistani showbiz industry like the gorgeous Mahira Khan as Saba, Humayun Saeed as Irtiza and Pakistani-Canadian actress Armeena Rana Khan as Saman.Though with few dramatic pauses and novel based typical editing issues, movieis a pure family drama with romance, some suspense and many emotions.Between the scenes, the movie also beautifully depicts the colorful culture of Pakistan like Chand raat festivities, mehndi functions, emotional departures etc.
Best thing which audience like was the Pakistani feel from the movie. With no cheap dialogues and use of original Urdu words, it is worth watching. Though Humayun Saeed looked bit old in his appearances in some scenes, but everybody else perfectly fits in their respective roles and outfits specially the Mahira and Armeena. Few of scene was so perfectly pictured but sometimes, it gives a hint that either there are missing scenes or story was rushed through out because of editing as mentioned before. For example, two of the renowned artist Javaid sheikh and Zeba bakhtiar were literally went unused in the movie. They could have done some of the scene done by Dadi Amma.Another bad combo is driving luxury cars but living in an old style mansion doesn’t provide balance to storyline. Towards the end Humayun told Mahira that he always loved her, then question arises that then what he was doing with Armeena?
In audience votes about Bin Roye music, in spite of big names like Abida Parveen, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Zeb Bangushand Sheeraz Uppal, Ankit Tiwari’s ‘O Yara’ stands outs in gaining people attraction. We can say that it is not item songs, but good songs with excellent choreography is what people demands.
Though it was indeed a great effort but I would like to add that our movies still needs good editing along with good direction and scripting.
