Having ratings of 9.2 on IMDB, everything is amazing from the title song to sets in drama.Pyare Afzal is basically a deeply moving love story of profound and boundless love between two souls and a kind of roller coaster ride in portraying the deep reality of relationships. As per viewers, this love story stand alongside world standard love stories like Romeo & Juliet, Heer Ranjha, and Laila Majnoo etc. This drama certainly reminded us of the golden years of classic television.
This story is about a simple man Afzal (Hamza Ali) love of girl, who was like a forbidden fruit for him since she belonged to the elite class. His dreams of wanting to become a bara admi got confined in his mohalla, where he grew up playing cricket and catching glimpses of his love. Story plot moves on with many ups and down in Afzal’s Life which revolves around 2 girls. Farah and Yasmeen. Yasmeen is a strong character who instead of becoming a victim, takes control of her situation and ends it on her own terms. Drama industry now a days has come to a point, where there is an essential sense of misery whenever it comes to women. They are either crying, or about to cry over something in every episode. In contrast, these both characters havedelivered without any shouting, which is a bonus as when you love someone, you care enough to set them free if their happiness lies with another.Viewers also have grew great emotional attachment to its title song, which has very emotional words. But, as per critics, overall quality of sound design in dramais poorly done. In some scenes, music is louder than dialogue at times; humor is prompted through sound effects.
Though some short comings but the touching story was filled with some of the most memorable dialogues, which has definitely kept viewers bound till the end with its brilliant ideologies.
